Rebirth

Belonging to two separate cultures, I found struggle in accepting who I was, and that I was biracial. In recent years I have accepted myself for being a biracial Native American woman and finally became proud of that statement. I have found rebirth in my own skin. As shown in the print, no matter how I may change or shift, I will blossom and carry my ancestors and culture with me. The colors are shown for self representation of personal reflections to my religion and culture acceptance. The combination of the two methods of printmaking further reflect my ideals and present separate unique textures, yet also combine to make a special creation.
